At a time when the CBI are calling on Labour to break its pledge on protecting peoples incomes by not increasing taxes on ordinary people rather than increase taxes on businesses.
Indeed the impact of the national insurance increase on employers has definitely had a negative effect on business who need to protect their profits and shareholders.
It seems strange that if in the November budget Labour are going to renege on their manifesto pledges that the person who would oppose that most has now gone from the cabinet!
I am sure that this is not correct but in a world where nothing anymore is believable or surprising who knows.
I like Angela Rayner and I hope she survives this incident to continue with what she is really good at.
